Glasgow landmark coasters - #8 - Kelvingrove
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is the latest in the set of eight designs in our new Glasgow landmarks coaster range, featuring original artwork from Sophie Hoggan.
This iconic Glasgow building was opened in 1901, funded partly by the proceeds of the 1888 International Exhibition held in Kelvingrove Park. The first art installation visitors see when they enter the impressive main hall is Floating Heads: 50 white heads with different facial expressions - it literally turns heads, which is why Sophie chose this perspective for her design!
