Glasgow landmark coasters - #7 - City Chambers
Glasgow City Chambers is the last one in the set of seven designs in our new Glasgow landmarks coaster range, featuring original artwork from Sophie Hoggan.
Opened in 1888, it is the headquarters of Glasgow City Council, and is one of Glasgow's finest examples of Victorian architecture. It was designed by William Young, from the nearby town of Paisley, who won the architecture competition, showcasing intricate stonework and complex ornamentation to reflect the status of Glasgow as Second City of the Empire.
The other designs in the range are:
-
Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA)
-
Finnieston Crane
- Merchant Square
- Ashton Lane
- Glasgow University
-
People's Palace
Each coaster costs £6, but use discount code GL4for20 at checkout and you'll get 4 for just £20.
