Neil made a shoe rack when we first moved in over a decade ago, but we've always had issues fitting his behemoth size 13 shoes on it - so he recently decided to make one out of some wood he found in the garage. The top, shelves and sides were originally part of the desk he made for me, and they came up beautifully with some water-based clear varnish and antique white satinwood, perfect match for the kitchen units and dresser!
